One
of KLC's priorities is the legal education of Kosovo's younger generation.
The main activities undertaken with regard to legal education are
the Law Faculty Support Programme and Traffic Education.
Law
Faculty Support Program (the LFSP)
The
University of Prishtinë/Pritina Law Faculty Support Programme
consists of:
1.
Practical Legal Clinics; allowing students the opportunity to enhance
their practical legal skills, through the drafting of legal memoranda
such as indictments, verdicts and appeals and through participation
in mock trials;
2. Law Faculty library development;
3. Publications (including the compilation of applicable laws for
students; a Student's Handbook on samples of different legal acts,
a guide on drafting research papers, etc.).
4. Previously, KLC was also involved in Curriculum Development,
including assistance in implementing the Bologna curriculum system
(Bachelor's and Master's degrees); student and teacher exchange
programmes, and assistance in modernising the administration of
the Master's programme.

Traffic
Education
This
project targets all children in Kosovo between the ages of 6 and
14, in order to educate them on traffic regulations and the basic
rights of children. This is achieved through training children to
obey the law and to respect Kosovo's legal system. This program
involves teacher training and selection, compilation of the necessary
training materials, and distribution of an explanatory leaflet entitled
"Passport for my Life." One final aspect of the project
is to produce a manual on traffic regulations for representatives
of the Kosovo Police Service.
The primary aim of the project is to strengthen the rule of law
in Kosovo. The overall objective is to educate and instill in children
respect for the legal system and human rights, thus assisting in
the creation of a more tolerant and democratic Kosovo.
