Programme
Manager of the Kosovo Law Centre
The
Kosovo Law Centre (KLC) was established in June 2000, as an independent,
non-profit, non-governmental organisation (NGO). It was founded
by the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe's Mission
in Kosovo (OSCE/OMIK), Department of Human Rights and Rule of Law.
The KLC is serving as a legal think-tank devoted to the development
of the rule of law and the promotion of human rights. The KLC is
a professional, locally run, independent NGO that embodies and promotes
democratic principles, multiculturalism, high ethical standards,
the rule of law and respect for human rights. The KLC is neutral,
unbiased and strictly non-political in nature.
Reporting
The
Programme manager reports to the Director of the KLC.
Tasks
and Responsibilities
Programme
manager is responsible to manage and supervise minimum of 2-3 programmes.
•
Draft and prepare programmes and project proposals;
• Prepare budgets and financial reports;
• Monitor and prepare monthly financial overviews;
• Manage and supervise programmes and projects;
• Assess and evaluate programmes and projects;
• Provide weekly reports and schedules of activities to the
Programme Co-ordinator;
• Report to donors;
• Fundraise for projects;
• Translate and edit various documents, when it is necessary;
• Provide legal assistance and expertise;
• Represent the KLC on various meetings;
• Establish and maintain contacts with donors and other parties
involved in projects;
• Perform other tasks as requested.
Qualifications
•
Legal degree;
• Minimum 5 years prior working experience;
• Knowledge of project and financial management;
• Ability to do legal research, analysis, and writing, including
in the English language;
• Working knowledge of written and oral the English language;
• Communication and public relation skills;
• Experience in interviewing others;
• Computer skills, particularly word processing;
• Strong organizational skills and self-motivated;
• Ability to work in a multiethnic, non-political environment;
• Knowledge of the functioning of legal and judicial structures
and institutions; and
• Ability to work under pressure and within limited time frames.
